Coaches

Welcome to the Coaches page. First and foremost, I want to thank each of you coaches for doing what you do for the kids in our communities. Coaching youth isn't as easy as it seems. You all put in extra hours outside of regular work doing things that not everyone even sees.  You all sacrifice a lot of things to give to other people's kids, including time away from your own families. I just want you to know that I see you and thank each of you for coaching here at Team Hustle.

I want to share a few things that I expect from Team Hustle Coaches.

1- Love your athletes - You are blessed with a position that allows you to make an impact on young lives. Our job description is bigger than just softball. When your athletes know that you truly love them, they will work hard for you. Your love for your athletes should be bigger than your love to win.

2- Be open minded - When we think we know everything it is very hard to improve ourselves. Every day I want to be a better coach. I learn from great coaches from different sports almost every single day. It could be from conversation, competition, through Podcasts, Internet, reading etc.  It is very important to me to keep improving as it should be to you.

3- Respect - Respect all people that we deal with and move in a professional manner.  Respect Tournament directors, umpires, parents, opposing coaches and players. I know it is an old saying but treat others the way you want to be treated.  How you handle this has a great influence on how your players and families act. They follow your lead. Set the standard.

4- Teach effort & attitude - Those are the things that we control.  we do not control things like weather, playing surface, umpires etc. We do control us and how we respond! The effort that we give. The attitude we carry all game long. Hold your athletes accountable to Effort & Attitude. These two words are more important than winning. When you play the game right, good things happen.

Once again coaches thank you! I am always here if you need me. Call or text me anytime.
